I know it has only been a month since the last event but the wheels are already turning on what can be done for next year.
I spent some time this weekend looking at the Channel Islands National Park for some personal adventuring and then thought that it might make a great outing for us Tumblr folks.
A rough idea is outlined here by BackPacker magazine. We would obviously be able to modify this to fit our needs.
The advantages of this vs Bearpaw High Sierra
1. Closer to a major airport allowing for greater ease of travel.
2. The trip itself is cheaper. ($108 round trip to the island and 15$ per night for 5 persons)
The disadvantages:
1. This is not an ‘all inclusive’ trip. Tents, sleeping bags and food will all need to be planned for in advance.
2. No hot showers, flushable toilets, jalepeno cheese bread or fresh peach pie.
